Beach trip 2012

This past August my Dad took Ben and I, and my two sisters on a little beach vacation to
Block Island, Jamestown and Newport RI.

The wind tipping the sailboat

Getting ready to leave the harbor

This racing boat was the one that President JFK sailed on when he would visit Newport

Beautiful Hols :)
This was the sailboat that we got to ride. It was sooo windy the whole boat kept tipping, it was soo crazy fun though!
Mary trying to eat an Oyster that my Dad and Ben dared her to try- YUCK!

The harbor in Jamestown (a little tiny island between Newport and western Rhode Island)
My silly Dad ;)
The huge sails on our sailboat
Having a little photo shoot on the beach!
Amazing pina colada drink we had served to us right on the beach!

Standing in front of the huge bridge that connects parts of RI.
Eating at Benjamin's :)
This ship was featured on the third Pirates of the Caribean movie- it was sitting in the harbor as we sailed by.
Beautiful sunset on Block Island
You can't really see it because I didn't do a very good job, but the restuarant Ben is pointing to is called Benjamin's
Pedicures!!
While the brave ones went para sailing, Mary and I had our nails done at this cute little spa right near the harbor.

Yummy seafood dinner on the beach :)

Thanks Dad for a fabulous vacation!
We had such a blast spending time together in the sun!

Our little family of three, living by the sea...

We finally made it,
our move was a success-thanks soo much to my sweet parents :)
We are in Boston!!

The last few days we've been
unpacking boxes,
organizing closets and dressers,
hanging pictures,
cleaning bathrooms,
& settling in to our very small but quaint apartment.

We didn't necessarily choose this place based on the inside,
it was the location that caught our eye.
We live right on the Harbor-
in fact the Harbor where the Boston Tea Party occurred over 200 years ago.
We are close to Ben's school,
shopping,
easy access to the highway,
right on the Boston oceanfront green belt,
parks,
and the beach!!! (my favorite part)
So far, it has been great!

Bryson loves to sit and look out the window at the water-
watching the sailboats leaving and entering the bay,
seeing the seagulls flying above,
the para sailing kites off in the distance,
and all the planes taking off and landing across the bay.
He has been such a trooper through this whole process, just always going with the flow :)
He's been our little sunshine the whole time-bringing joy to both Ben and I when we were feeling a little doubtful about this whole life changing experience.

Yesterday when we got off the elevator,
Bry ran to our apartment door,  pointed and said
"We're home!"
It really sunk in then,
 that true in fact,
we are
HOME :)
