Getting lost in a city is nothing like getting lost in the country.
All it takes is one wrong turn and you are headed for disaster.
In Idaho when you got off on the wrong exit it is always just a quick u-turn and you are back on your way,
no mercy like that here.
After leaving the park the other day, we headed off in hopes to find a nearby Panda Express, just 2.5 miles from where we were.
No such luck!
We took one wrong exit and ended up across the bay, headed for the airport-oops ;/
Before we knew it we were almost 7 miles from where we wanted to be, had paid over $5 in tolls, went through an underground tunnel, over several bridges and found ourselves on the MIT campus.
I guess it wasn't so bad,
after all we did get a grand tour of the city :)
And since we gave up,
after an hour of driving,
to ever satisfying our cheap Chinese food craving,
we headed home.
Not without first spotting a ma & pa pizzeria tucked away in a corner.
We stopped off for some scrumptious mega slices and filled up our tummies :)

After putting Bry down, we enjoyed a little romantic comedy
and indulged in these soft, gooey delights :)
Turned out to be a better day than we thought!

You guys are just too precious! I miss seeing you every weekend from the time we were all done with school til the wee hours of Monday morning. :) We love you guys and hope that you are absolutely loving Boston! I want to come see you guys and get the grand tour! Maybe we'll save up our pennies and make a trip once Princess Hessing makes her grand entrance! Miss you! Give Bry a hug for us!
ReplyDeleteI get lost everywhere I go, country or city, haha! Your optimistic attitude is awesome though. The city looks gorgeous! And I'm glad you ended the night with NY style pizza, and a movie and brownies with your sweetheart. :)
